I’d get in contact with HR but probably cos I work in HR. Any coworkers that may advice you? I think HR would be a safer bet

yeah I was thinking HR might be my best bet since their whole thing is like hey guys we gotta do the legal thing cause it’s the law. I have one or two people I’d wanna talk to about it but honestly the staff is tiny… maybe like 28 people for a school grades 5-8 so word gets around. it’s also got a kind of culty “team and family” mantra so I feel really weird but I’m also so desperate at this point ugh

Is there someone at the local school distract that you can talk to?

I’m not sure… we’re a charter school so I wouldn’t know where to begin. so many of the things we do are illegal according to my mom who works at a school that actually gets a decent amount of money lol. that’s why this is so hard for me! cause I know we’re super understaffed but also like… this should not be asked of me. 

I wish I still had lots of friends on here cause I really need advice! I just found out that some of the duties I’ve been assigned at the public school where I work are… illegal? basically I’m a para who teaches like full on teaches and I’m only supposed to be support staff aka helping out other teachers. the class I teach is the only part of my job that I despise but I despise it so much it makes me wanna quit like everyday… so should I confront my boss about how the class is illegal and I shouldn’t be doing it or like get in touch with HR or just keep my mouth shut so I don’t get fired??? ahhhhhhHHHHH HELP
